The Cambridge University Hispanic Society is the society for Spanish-speakers and for those with an interest in the Spanish-speaking world.

Its aims are to:

à promote interest in and appreciation of the life and culture of the Spanish-speaking countries

à encourage the learning and teaching of the Spanish language

à create awareness of social Hispanic issues

à achieve a better understanding of different cultures.

We are one of the largest and most active student societies, running a weekly programme of social events, cultural activities and language-learning supportWe also produce an annual magazine containing both creative writing and articles in English and Spanish relating to the Spanish-speaking world.

Whether you are into Salsa or Sangria,  Tango or tapas, Spanish-language cinema or fútbol, we have something for you!

Membership is also open to non-students so that everyone in the Cambridge community can experience Hispanic culture and meet Spanish-speakers
